Vintage professional French-made model.  Serial #: 58752.  Circa early 1955.  One of the most desirable models of the vintage Selmer offerings is this early generation MKVI with a silver finish, a 5-digit serial number and no high F# key.  It has the original silver-plated finish with typical tarnish throughout.  Plating wear is on the D & D# palm key spatulas and other small areas like the key and guard edges.  The neck screw is an original type; however, it may have been replaced.  The neck and keywork are all original and have no damage, alterations, or swedging (swaging).   The body is straight, the bell brace is perfectly shaped & aligned, and there is no damage to tone holes, ribs, posts, keys, etc.  There are no structural repairs other than soldering to 1 guard flange for the low C keyguard.  The horn is dent-free, but some minor dents have been removed from the bow, leaving only a tiny gouge at the tip of the bow cap near C#.  There are also some scratches in the finish near the low C# tone hole – likely from an instrument stand.   This horn is 100% playable and well set up.  A repad was done some time ago and has faired well.  A professional tune-up has been done pre-listing to guarantee optimal playability.  The outfit includes an original Selmer wood shell case in excellent condition with just typical exterior scuffs.   The latches are functional, and no damage to the handle loop ends.  Case and sax have a very slight musty smell from sitting but no concern of mould or mildew.  There are no mouthpieces or accessories.  Ready to Play.  For more information, please get in touch with our sales office.
